KNOCK OUT WEDDINGS WAS BUILT NOT AS A SIDE PROJECT, NOT AS A PASSION TURNED BUSINESS, BUT AS A DELIBERATE, DEDICATED COMMITMENT TO DOING THIS WORK WITH THE CARE, COMPETENCE, AND GENUINE INVESTMENT THAT EVERY COUPLE DESERVES.

If you’re wondering what the name means — it is personal. KO are my married initials. The moment I became an Okyere, I also became someone who knew exactly what she wanted to do with her life. Knock Out Weddings was born from that moment, and everything since has been building toward this.

I am based in Dahlonega, Georgia, right in the heart of the North Georgia mountains — and I would not have it any other way!

Meet Karyn

  • I have always been a planner. Not just professionally — it’s genuinely how I am wired.

    I am an Enneagram 6 at 98%, which means I am the person who has already though through every possible scenario before you even knew there was a scenario to think through. I am loyal, prepared, and I take my responsibility to the people I work with very seriously. For some people that might sound like a lot — for a wedding planner, it is exactly what you want!

    When I planned my own wedding here in the North Georgia mountains, something clicked. I was in my element. I loved every detail of the process — the logistics, the coordination, the way everything had to come together just right. And when my day finally arrived, I understood firsthand what it feels like to hand it all over and just be present.

    When I toured my selected venue, I fell in love instantly, but what truly sold me was my coordinator. She was calm, confident, and completely in control of every detail.

    After my wedding, she reached out and asked if I would come work for her. She saw it before I even said it out loud. I said yes, became her assistant coordinator and never looked back!

    This expertise changed everything.

  • Before Knock Out Weddings, I spent 14 years in hospitality — years that taught me more about people and service than any classroom ever could.

    I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, which gave me a foundation in something the wedding industry does not always talk about: emotional intelligence. I know how to listen — really listen. I know how to connect with people in a way that makes them feel genuinely cared for, not just managed.

    Those skills do not stay in a classroom or restaurant. They come with me to every consultation, every vendor call, and every wedding day.

    I am also a certified wedding planner — because being great at something and being formally trained in it are not mutually exclusive. I wanted both.

  • When I am not planning weddings, you will probably find me crocheting something I started three weeks ago and have not finished yet, deep in a good book, working through a puzzle with my husband, or watching Bravo TV with absolutely zero apologies!

    I share my home with my husband, one dog, and three cats — so yes, I am a full on animal person and yes, I will probably ask about your pets!

    I am a Leo through and through — passionate, loyal, and all in once I commit to something. When I take on your wedding, I take it seriously. Your day matters to me the way it matters to you.
