Hi — I'm Karyn Okyere, certified wedding planner and founder of Knock Out Weddings.
I came to this work the long way around. And I would not change a single step of it.
My Bachelor's degree in Social Work taught me how to actually listen — not just hear people, but understand what they need, even when they cannot quite say it yet. Fourteen years in hospitality — nearly a decade at one place — taught me what genuine care looks like when the pressure is high and the margin for error is zero.
Before founding Knock Out Weddings, I coordinated weddings at one of North Georgia's most celebrated mountain resorts. I learned how wedding days actually flow. Where things quietly unravel when nobody is watching. And what couples need — sometimes before they even realize they need it.
I have also been a bride myself, right here in these mountains. So when I say I understand what it feels like to hand your day to someone and trust them completely — I mean that personally.
That experience comes with me to every single wedding I take on.
